frequently asked questions
How do the leagues work?
We organise all fixtures and all equipment you need, plus an umpire - all you need to do is turn up!
Games are played weekly and for each league, games will be at the same venue and on the same night each week.
You can enter a team or sign up as an individual player/ small group.
How do we join a league?
To register a team, please complete the online entry form here and pay a deposit of £100 to secure a place.
To join as an individual player, please see here
How much does it cost?
Match fees vary between leagues but the average cost works out at around £7 per player - please see the leagues page for full details. For teams, fees are either payable in full before the start of the season or can be paid in two instalments. For individual players, fees must be paid in full before the start of the season. Match fees can be paid by bank transfer or paypal.
How do we pay?
Fees can be paid online by bank transfer or by PayPal. You may have a PayPal account from buying things on ebay, but don't worry if you don't - you can still pay through paypal with a debit or credit card even if you don't have an account.
I want to play but don't have a team... What can I do?
If you are a player or a few players looking to set up a team, you can register as an individual player and we will place you in a suitable team.
What do we need to bring to the matches?
We provide everything you need, from the umpire to Gilbert match balls and bibs - all you need is some appropriate clothing and footwear.
What if it rains?
Games take place come rain or shine! Only in extremely wet weather or snow will games be cancelled. Team captains will be notified as early as possible on the day if a game is cancelled. Any cancelled games will be rescheduled for later in the season.
What happens if we miss a match?
It is really important that all teams are reliable to help ensure the league runs as smoothly as possible! You are expected to make every fixture and if you forfeit a game, one match fee will be taken from your deposit and given to the opposition to refund them.
What happens if the other team doesn't show up?
If this happens, we will try to arrange a friendly game for you and you will be awarded a win. If you don't play at all, match fees will be refunded.
